Every Renovation Needs A Great Before Photo

The only word to properly describe this room is boring. It's small, beige and boring, ok well thats three words but you get the point. I quickly claimed this room as my own because it had the bigger closet. However, I soon discovered that the closet was not going to be enough. The wheels started turning and I grabbed my notebook to scratch down some ideas. I thought, if I move the closet to that long wall and eliminate the original one I can re-arrange a few other things in the hallway and add a few extra feet to our tiny master bedroom. It's going to take a lot of work and even more planning but I think it will be worth it in the end.
I tried sprucing up the room with a gallery wall but that didn't do much. It's going to take a lot more than some second hand art to make this place shine.

Welcome

Your home should be your happy place. Somewhere you can go to relax and get away from the world. A place to call your own. I feel like many people put off home renovations because of the time and money involved. I’m here to show you sprucing up your home doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars or take up all of your time. It does take a little elbow grease but creating your perfect home should be a labor of love. In the first 100 days of living in my house I was able to great a beautiful place to call home for around $800. I decided what was important to me and stuck to my plan. This “mini renovation” was just what I needed to feel at home while I plan the mother of all renovation jobs.

This is the original closet. It's pretty pathetic, especially for a clothing lover like myself. I hate the design of these closets. With that wall on the right, I lose all of my clothes to that black hole and never wear whats back there. Since this is only about half of my clothing this is not going to cut it for closet space.
More updates coming soon.
