About Me

One thing that I never want this blog to be is a “do exactly what I do and your home will be beautiful too” resource. I think that often times we get caught up in finding those exact throw pillows and that specific paint color and brand when the reality is two houses will never look the exact same. You don’t live where I live, you don’t use your house the same way I use mine and even if you have a ranch house too, you don’t get the same afternoon sun so that milky cream color I use might look butter yellow on your walls.

So, I’m here to share why I do the things I do and how my home got this way so that you can use those tools and make decision for your home that work for you and your family. When I’m in the kitchen I never follow a recipe to the letter, even when I’m making a boxed cake mix I’ll add extra ingredients to make it my own, and I don’t think home improvement and decor should be any different.

I’m in the process of turning my Pink 1972 Ranch Home into the house of my dreams. This is my second whole home renovation and I’ve learned a lot about what to do and what not to do in the process. I want to use my experience to offer creative inspiration and know how to take that inspiration and make it your own. I hope you enjoy the ride.

I have been married for over 8 years to the most amazing man. He is the love of my life, my biggest supporter and my partner in crime.
My family and friends are so important to me. I couldn’t get through life without them. They have all been so supportive and encouraging for me to follow my dreams. My two biggest helpers have been my furry twins Opi and Ivory. They always have to be in the middle of every project I do. You’ll see them a lot around here.
Aside from everything home, I love all things coffee; after all I am from Seattle. I love my job as assistant manager at Starbucks. I have had so much fun with my amazing team and I love being able to bring my creativity into all aspects of my work.
I have recently been bitten by the travel bug after my first trip out of the US. I seriously want to see the entire world, twice! I can’t wait to share my experiences with you.

I’m happy go lucky person who simply enjoys life. I try to see the beauty in everything and spread a little happiness where ever I go. I’m so glad you’re following my journey. And please, never hesitate to reach out with a question or comment.
